Experience From Orlando
In four days that I have been in India I have had more new experiences than ever before in my life. From eating entirely different foods, living here has kept me very busy.I wake up at early in the morning around 5:00 am and get to bed around 11:00 in the night, this is the proper schedule one follows for his school over here. As far as I believe I have came up from my Jet lack. Over here I live in zellwood,Apopka and will be going to Apopka High School. In high school i will be in 11th Grade or as an Junior in the High school as everyone says this in USA.
This is all happened in the first four days of my arrival, lets go in the flash back what happened before i arrived in USA.
On 7th of August: In the morning we went to my cousin brother's office and got E-boarding Pass for my flight
and then hurried up had my last lunch with my family and ran to the airport. My whole Family was there to see off me and as i went in the gate every one gave me an hug and my mom got emotional and cried a little bit.
It was an awesome experience over in the airport with my Rotary Blazer. My first flight from Mumbai to Delhi was delayed by 1/2 an hour and during the flight hours it was very bad weather so we were not allowed to remove our seat belts and it was really annoying to all the passengers on-board. At last after an hour delayed we landed in Delhi and then i was running on the airport to catch my connecting flight but I didn't knew the place where i need to go but my rotary blazer helped me.One man at the airport knew about the ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE program, so he helped me a lot. After the check in at international terminal, I searched for any pay phone and the airport was looking like an five star hotel. Probably I found one talked with my parents for around 10 minutes over there. Then I went to my flight Gate and checked in myself. i was very much excited sitting the flight as it was my first international flight and probably got an Gujarati student beside me and one student from nianital as my co-passenger. We talked a lot during our flight and all of three were discriminating the worst food ever in our life on-board on United Airlines. we landed 1/2 an hour earlier at New york airport and we were not allowed to go out of the flight till 4:15 in the morning.
8th of August:I passed through Immigration and customs at New york Airport in the early morning and re checked in myself into the domestic terminal of the airport. There were still 2 hours to go for my flight so i was roaming about the whole terminal. The time came for my last flight which took me straight to my destination ORLANDO INT AIRPORT. Over there also we reached an 1/2 an hour early. Catching the Air Train i came outside the terminal, and what I see my Host Parents Standing with a big board of my name to pick me up. They gave me a warm welcome on the airport and then after some formality, we got into the car way to our home. We stopped in between for lunch and it was an different experience in the US restaurant and at the Highways of Orlando. The traffic sense and rules were completely different from India. we reached home in Zellwood, Apopka, I was again welcomed by host dog-MAGIEE!!.
I was pretty tired so they gave me my room and wardrobe, I unpacked all of my stuff and went for sleep in the evening 6 pm and i waked up at 2am in the morning (SUFFERING FROM JET LACK).
9th of August: After waking up at 2 in the morning, I was stressed out and watched TV for some time heard music And then again went to asleep at 4 am and then got up around 8 am in the morning and i was great enought that i got chance to meet my host Parent's MOM and DAD, and went out for a lunch. And had a great time with them
Had an awesome weekend at Lake Mary and even saw an Indian Hindi Movie CHENNAI EXPRESS..
This was about the experience i had meeting new people in the flight and over in Florida

Welcome
Hi Guys, Over here I will be sharing my experience with you all!!!!!
I'm from INDIA and I am going to ORLANDO,Fl this August!!!!!
I am going to Orlando under the program of Rotary Youth Exchange, to Rotary International District 6980 over there I am going to live there for around one academic year, as an 11th Grader (junior).
Coming to ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM, I am being sponsored by Rotary Club of Bharuch Narmada Nagri, RI Dist 3060 and I will be hosted by the Rotary Club of Apopka, RI Dist 6980.
I just got motivated by the Rotary Youth Exchange Faculty of my sponsoring club and my sponsoring district to take part in this program and make this year a life long experience for me. After I got selected for my exchange year it charged me up a lot and filled me up with excitement and enthusiasm and it even boosted my self-confidence too.
This program gave me a chance to share the culture of India and to fulfill my dreams to visit the USA as an cultural ambassador.
